Firefight in Pangchao: Security Forces Rescue Hostage, Neutralize Militants

Indian Army and Assam Rifles rescued a kidnapped civilian and neutralized three NSCN (KYA) militants in a joint operation at Pangchao, Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh.

Two construction workers were abducted on 25 April 2025. Acting on intelligence, security forces launched a swift operation on 27 April, leading to a firefight in which three insurgents were killed.

Four automatic weapons, ammunition, and other war-like stores were recovered. One kidnapped worker was rescued; search operations continue for the second missing individual.
