In Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, an under-construction 30-storey building collapsed, leaving at least three dead and 81 trapped, authorities confirmed. The building, initially planned as a government office complex, crumbled within seconds, reducing it to a twisted mass of concrete and steel. The World Health Organization (WHO) has activated its emergency response system in the wake of the Myanmar-Thailand earthquake. At least 20 fatalities have been reported at a major hospital in Myanmar’s capital, Naypyidaw, following the earthquake. Medical professionals confirm that dozens of critically injured individuals have been admitted, with authorities fearing that the death toll may continue to rise.
